Recently deleted
Undo a delete, or restore scenes, chapters, books and lore for 30 days afterwards.
Deleted something by mistake? Scenes, chapters, manuscripts, lore entries, series and Scratchpad pages aren't removed straight away. They go to the world's Recently deleted for 30 days, and you can bring them back exactly as they were.
Undo straight away
Right after you delete something, a message appears at the bottom of the screen with an Undo button. Choose it and the item is back.
Restore from Recently deleted
- On a world's Home tab, scroll to the bottom and choose Recently deleted (it shows how many items there are). You'll also find it in World details (the … button on Home).
- Find the item. Each shows what it was, when it was deleted and where it was, such as The Ember Crown › Ashfall.
- Choose Restore (the ↶ button).
What comes back:
- A scene returns to its chapter, in its old place. If that chapter has been deleted too, a new chapter with the old name is made at the end of the manuscript, and the same goes for the manuscript itself. Mythforge tells you when this happens.
- A chapter comes back with all its scenes.
- A manuscript goes back into its series, in its old place. If the series is gone, it comes back as a standalone book.
- A lore entry comes back with its picture, and its mentions in your scenes link to it again. Relationships with other entries come back too.
- A series gathers its books back together, in their old order.
Snapshots and comments come back with their scene.
Delete for good
- Delete now (the bin button) deletes one item for good, after asking.
- Empty, at the top, deletes everything in Recently deleted.
After 30 days, items are deleted for good on their own.
Good to know
- Each world has its own Recently deleted.
- With sync on, your other devices share it: something deleted on your phone can be restored on your computer.
- Recently deleted is included in backups.
Deleting a whole world
Worlds don't go to Recently deleted: deleting a world deletes everything in it, its Recently deleted included. As a safety net, Mythforge first saves a copy of your whole library under Settings → Backup, named "Before deleting" and the world's name. Select it there to bring the world back. See Automatic backups.
