Series and related books
Group manuscripts into a series, set the reading order and link prequels and sequels.
When a world has more than one book, group them into a series to keep them in reading order, and record how standalone books relate to each other.
Start a series
When you create a manuscript, choose Series → New series and give it a Series title (for example The Something Cycle). You can also add an existing manuscript to a series later.
The Manuscripts tab shows each series as a shelf with its books in reading order, followed by your standalone works.
Add books and set the reading order
- Choose Add a book on a series to start the next one, or add an existing manuscript to it.
- Choose Reorder on a series and use the arrows to change the reading order.
- Choose the series' Edit button to rename it or change its details.
Prequels, sequels and spinoffs
A book outside a series can still be related to another. When creating it, choose what it is:
- Prequel
- Sequel
- Spinoff
- Companion
…and which book it relates to, so you always know where it fits in the world's timeline.
