Worlds, the switcher and your library
Move between worlds, see where Mythforge reopens, and find Stats, Search and Recently deleted.
Most writers keep one world at a time, but Mythforge is built for several: a main setting, a spin-off, a short story set somewhere else. This guide covers moving between them, how Mythforge decides where to open, and where your library's other screens live.
The Library
The Library is the list of all your worlds, most recently edited first. Each card shows the world's name and tagline, how much is in it (manuscripts, words and lore entries) and when you last edited it. If a world has conflicted copies to review after a sync, a small badge with their count sits beside its name.

Select a world to open it, or + (New world) to create another. Settings sits in the Library's top bar too.
Switching worlds
You don't have to go back through the Library to change worlds. In a world, select its name at the top (on a phone, the title on Home; on a wide window, the name at the top of the sidebar); the small chevron next to it shows that it's a menu. The Worlds sheet opens:

- Your worlds, most recently edited first, each with its word count and when it was last edited. A check mark shows the world you're in, and a badge appears if it has conflicted copies to review. Select one to switch.
- New world creates one, with the same sheet as the Library's +.
- All worlds goes to the Library.
- Settings opens Settings.
Each world keeps its own tabs and layout, so switching back finds you where you left off.
Where Mythforge opens
Mythforge opens where you last were, on each device: back in the world you were writing in, or in the Library if that's where you left. Choosing the Library with All worlds (or going back to it) makes the next launch open there. Settings has a back link to wherever you came from, the world's name or Library.
The world's other screens
Besides Manuscripts, the Lorebook and the Timeline, a world has a few screens you'll visit less often. On a phone, Stats and Recently deleted are on Home and Search has its own tab in the bar at the bottom; on a wide window they're all in the sidebar's rail.
- Stats shows your writing over time and what's in the world. See Stats.
- Recently deleted holds scenes, chapters, lore entries and more you've removed, until you delete them for good. See Recently deleted.
- Search finds any scene or lore entry by name and text, and is also ⌘ ⇧ F (Ctrl Shift F) in the sidebar, or ⌘ P (Ctrl P) over the screen. See Search and replace.
Keeping your worlds safe
Your worlds live on the device you write on. If your library is kept only in this browser, Mythforge reminds you to back up from the Library and from each world's Home: see Backups. To keep a copy in the cloud, or to use the same library on another device, see Storage and sync.
